Selection Process
We are looking for enthusiastic eager entrepreneurs! First and foremost, we want to invest in start-ups that are innovative, but also, in entrepreneurs that stand out. Whether you have a feasible idea that you want to turn into a success story, or need guidance and support in your existing start up, Oasis500 offers all entrepreneurs comprehensive, sufficient, relative and practical knowledge. The selection process at Oasis500 is systematic and thorough. Let’s walk you through it…
- The Online Entry Form: The first step is submitting your idea online. You have to describe your idea in 140 characters, so you’ll need to keep it short and simple. At this filtering phase, it is all about selling your idea in one paragraph, so that it comes off as feasible, and fits the Oasis500 criteria.
- General Assessment Form: Once we read your idea, and we find it fits our criteria, we’ll send you a general assessment form that you will have to fill out. You’ll have a specific deadline to send it back to us, but don’t worry; this form will only take about half an hour of your time.
- Face-to-face Interview: When we receive your general assessment form, and you manage to score within the acceptable range, we will call you in for an interview. Now when we say interview, we don’t mean a formal “suit-up” interview. We just want to have a chat with you, and get to know you better. The purpose behind this meeting is to get an idea about what kind of entrepreneur you are; so think of it as a relaxed get-together, and make sure you tell us all that we need to know about you as an entrepreneur.
- The Oasis500 Boot Camp: If you are through to the next round after your interview, we will review your file as a whole, and if you score within the acceptable range, you will join the Oasis500 boot camp: a six-day intensive training workshop. We stay in close touch with all our entrepreneurs. You will be receiving e-mails from us throughout every stage, and you will get the necessary feedback straight to your inbox.
